Cloud adoption is at an all-time high, fueled in part by the rise of remote work during the pandemic. Meanwhile, the increase in cloud spending and adoption shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, Forrester Research predicts the global public cloud infrastructure market will grow 35% to U.S. $120 billion in 2021.
In line with this growth, and our mission to provide our customers with the best-in-class training and learning solution, we will be ending support for the On-Premises (Non-Cloud) version of LMS365 as of Dec. 31, 2021.
Customers with valid LMS365 On-Premises licenses will be able to continue to use the platform as is, indefinitely, but product support, updates and fixes will no longer be provided after that date.
We will continue innovation, development, and support for LMS365 Cloud, and will be working with our on-premises customers on options for transitioning.
Since LMS365 Cloud’s release in 2014, we’ve continued to invest and innovate heavily in this platform, and we’ve seen Microsoft do the same with SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft 365 overall. That includes significant improvements in Microsoft Azure cloud services, which LMS365 relies on. Ending our support for on-premises will increase our opportunity to deliver the best training and learning platform fit for today’s workforce.
When will support and fixes officially end for LMS365 On-Premises?
Dec. 31, 2021
Will I still be able to use my LMS365 On-Premises solution after that date?
Customers with a valid LMS365 On-Premises license will be able to use the product as-is indefinitely. However, any changes Microsoft releases to the underlying on-prem infrastructure may interfere the ability to use it and render the on-premises version obsolete.
Why is support for LMS365 On-Premises ending?
Our customers are moving to the cloud at a rapid rate, and it is core to digital transformation efforts. Streamlining our focus on LMS365 Cloud in Microsoft 365 and using Azure will give us the opportunity to innovate more and provide our customers with best-of-breed solutions.
If I want to transition to LMS365 Cloud, what do I need to do?
