Still being a new program, LMS365 is proud to already receive this certification, which is yet another validation of our presence in the Microsoft ecosystem.

With this accomplishment, LMS365 customers and partners can be confident that data and privacy are adequately secured and protected when adding LMS365 to the Microsoft ecosystem. “By earning the Microsoft 365 App Certification, Microsoft is assuring customers that LMS365 follows secure practices for data handling and app security.”

A team of qualified analysts completed a comprehensive assessment on LMS365’s security and compliance procedures. During the certification process, apps undergo a complete and yearly review across four areas:

  • Application Security includes a GraphAPI Permission Validation to confirm that the app does not request overly permissive permissions. This step also involves an External Connectivity Check and Application Security Testing.
  • Operational Security/Secure Deployment ensures alignment between the app’s supporting infrastructure and deployment processes with security best practices. This includes Firewalls, Malware Protection, Vulnerability Scanning, Patch Management, Event Logging & Monitoring, Change Control & Risk Management.
  • Data Handling Security and Privacy covers Data in Transit & Data in Rest, Data Retention and Disposal, Data Access Management and GDPR.
  • Optional External Compliance Frameworks ensures that there is evidence that the frameworks include ISO/IEC 27001 specification, PCI DSS and SOC 2.

The Microsoft 365 App Certification logo* demonstrates that an app conforms to the strict guidelines put forth by Microsoft.
